My boyfriend is from Vancouver, Canada. So this place is very near and dear to my heart.
We set off on this adventure on June 21st and returned back to Seattle on June 23rd. A short weekend trip.
We had to bring our little sheriff with us of course. Crossing the border with your dog is quite easy. You need their rabies certificate signed off by a veterinarian and that is about it. What is really important is keeping your dog calm and cool during the interaction with border control.
All went well, and we continued our journey to Vancouver.
As we drive along in Canada the air shifts. It is cleaner and cooler than the air in Washington. It is so different that it sets off my allergies. Luckily, this time I was prepared and took an Allegra before we left the state.
Vancouver is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. My boyfriend is sick of my suggestions that we go there, but it is just a wonderful and beautiful place to me. His Aunty and her family lives there and we always stay with them. They are some of the kindest people I have ever met. They make visiting Canada an extra special experience because they are so incredibly kind.
This weekend was full of family fun. We celebrated birthdays and graduations. It was a lot of family and a lot of love throughout the entire weekend.
Weather wise, It was quite chilly but not as cold as past times.
I love Canada and I will be back soon.
