The inspiring Rachel Hollis came up with this program called the Last 90 Days. She says that it takes 21 days to change a habit, but 90 days to change your life. To read more and to join her challenge, click the link below.

Last year I heard about Rachel Hollis for the first time. I even bought her book and read it! I think this lady is really cool, but some of her life experiences don’t match mine. For example, she has gone through motherhood, I have not. However, despite our differences, I find her EXTREMELY inspiring. Last year I was watching the Last 90 Days challenge go by and I was watching people participate.

This year, I want to participate. I want to change my life. My favorite excuse is “oh I have three months to get into shape” and then I never do. Or, I am definitely that person who says “yeah I am working out again I feel so great”, do it for a month, and then quit because I got tired or I got my period. Seriously… I stop working out because I get my period. Crazy right?

I am tired of being a bad friend to myself. I am not keeping the promises I set for myself. I start working out and then I stop. I just make excuses for myself constantly.

I’m over it.

Rachel Hollis has this concept, it’s the 5 things she does every single day to live an amazing life. She calls it her “5 to thrive”.

  1. I will get up at 7 am .
  2. I will run and lift weights for at least 30 minutes everyday.
  3. I will drink at least 80 ounces of water everyday.
  4. I am giving up beer for the month of October and then alcohol in general in November. I haven’t figured out what to give up in December yet.
  5. I will write down 5 things I am grateful for everyday.

These are the 5 things I am going to do everyday for the next 90 days. The tricky part is that I am going on a trip at the end of October for two weeks which is going to be tough to keep number 1 and 2 consistent. It shouldn’t be a problem for the other three.

I am super excited to start this challenge and I encourage you to join me!
