My Sun Sign

Blogmas day 10 is all about my sun sign… Libra!

Most of my information that I will be writing on is from the book “The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need”, and the app Co-Star. My username on Co-Star is @haunanish if you want to add me and we can compare our signs!

Here is a quote that basically sums of the meaning of your sun sign “From our viewpoint here on Earth, the Sun travels around the Earth once each year. Within the space of that year the Sun moves through all twelve signs of the zodiac, spending approximately one month in each sign” (Woolfold, 2006).

My sun sign is Libra. This means, that I am fundamentally oriented toward fairness and justice. I am able to see both sides of every situation, although this comes off as indecisive or insecure. I don’t get tied down to a single view of things, I frequently question myself and rethink my views. I am more impressionable than I appear.

A little background on Libra, a Libra is considered a masculine sign which means that the sign is direct and energetic. All zodiac signs have a polarity, Libra’s polarity is Aries. Aries is the sign of self while Libra is the sign of partnership.

Something that I found interesting is that according to the book, the part of the body that is ruled by libra is the lower back, butt, and kidneys. Libra’s usually have problems with their lower back, and are subject to kidney infections. Something else that Woolfold mentions is that the Libra’s ruling planet is Venus, which is the Goddess of love and beauty. In astrology, Venus rules pleasure, social pursuits, art and adornment. Its influence also inclines toward self-indulgence and love of luxury.

Another explanation on Libra’s traits are: “Whether they be partners, lovers, mates, family, friends, business associates, or even guests at your party—relationships are your metier. You’re simply not a loner. Instinctively, you try to magnetize and pull others toward you. However, your main interest is on yourself within the relationship. You deal intuitively with other people’s emotions, and no one is better at understanding and taking into consideration another person’s point of view” (Woolfold, 2006).

I personally love astrology and I find it incredibly interesting. I did write a blog post about my moon sign Aries before and I will link it below. Thank you for keeping up with blogmas with me!
