I have made a short list of 4 non-homework things I have to accomplish everyday this week. The first thing is a deep clean of a specific part of the apartment. So today’s deep clean was the bathroom. I honestly love to clean and I especially love cleaning the bathroom. It’s just so satisfying to clean the place where I clean myself.
The second thing on my list is to crochet 4 squares together. My mom and I have been working on this blanket and she did most of the work and I just have to connect the squares. I have made it my mission to finish this blanket within this 30 quarantine. So far I have 2 sets of 4 squares connected. IT’s coming out beautifully!
The third thing on my list is to read at least 1 chapter of a non-fiction book. I am still reading "The Healthy Mind Toolkit" and I am determined to finish it and start and finish another non-fiction book throughout this time. This book is so incredible! It really hits home in a lot of ways that really make me reevaluate my life and how I treat myself. I highly recommend this book.
The fourth thing on my list is to write this blog post! As I have mentioned before many many times… I journal everyday. But, I started this blog to get out of my comfort zone and do something different and exciting! I want to share a part of me that not many people see.
So, I have done all 4 of those things today=success!
I have also written a list of homework assignments I want to do on certain days of the week so when Sunday roles around I am not stuck at my desk doing all of my homework I have procrastinated doing all week.
Something that I really want to focus on is not being on social media for more than a cumulative of 1 hour a day. It is extremely easy to get sucked into the social media world, the terrible news, and just the sorrows that people are feeling. My thoughts are just to stay informed, post on my journal instagram, and look of cute and funny quirks about the new Animal Crossing game. Nothing more though, because I am being blessed with having this time to focus on things that bring me joy. This includes reading, writing, crocheting, and keeping a clean space.
Today, we also went to Fred Meyer’s and picked up some supplies we wanted to help make this quarantine more relaxing and fun. I picked up a yoga mat to help me be less bored with my at home workouts. I also picked up bubble bath soap so I can enjoy a nightly bath! I’m all about the #selfcare.
Not wearing makeup is phenomenal and I actually got rid of some that I was kind of hoarding. I’m looking forward to continuing this cleaning journey and getting rid of things that I do not want or need.
I’m excited about what tomorrow brings!
I hope you are all having a relaxed but yet productive quarantine.
Stay safe and healthy!
