Trying to Create a Routine in 2020

Aloha Kakahiaka!

Hauʻoli lā Pōʻakahi!

Good morning and happy Monday!

This week is the start of 2 major transitions in 2020.

  1. First week of July.
  2. The start of the second half of the year (week 27).

I like to take any chance to re-evaluate where I am, and what are my next steps.

At the beginning of this year I had a great routine down. My morning routine was beautiful, I was working out, eating healthy, finishing school and working hard (getting that money).

Then middleMarch happened (aka quarantine and coronavirus), and all the routine I had going, all of the progress I have been making flew right out the window.

I just decided “well this is only temporary, I’ll just go with the flow until it’s over”.

Well, as we all know.

It’s not over.

I am no longer in quarantine as both of my jobs have opened up. However, I don’t hang out with anyone, I don’t go outside much and I stay home as much as possible.

Now that I am back in the swing of working 40+ hours a week , I need a new routine.

I also need to revisit my goals that I set myself for this year, and how am I incorporating that into my everyday routine.

I also have some new goals that I want to accomplish by the end of this year, which is really exciting for me!

It’s hard to really plan the future of 2020 because every week is different.

There are just 3 new things I have incorporated into my routine.

  1. Language learning
  2. Blog/Vlog
    • Creating
    • Editing
  3. Reading

Even though 2020 has flipped everything that we knew as “normal” upside down, these 3 things will help me reach my goals and these are things that I love to do.

If you are creating a new routine for yourself in 2020, I highly recommend adding at least one thing that truly gives you joy.

This will help you stick to your routine, and you will feel great doing it.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you all have an amazing week!
